Tocardo’s first operational turbine, running and feeding electricity into the grid since the summer of 2008.
Den
Oever is an inshore site, the turbine is attached to an existing structure. In
Den Oever the turbine is installed in the sluice of the Afsluitdijk, a large
dam between de Waddensea and the Ijsselmeer, a large fresh water lake.
The
turbine installed is a Tocardo T100 turbine. At this site it has a capacity of 35 kW and
produces electricity for approximately 12 households.
