This table shows the various applications of the different turbines. Within the product portfolio there are three power classed which can be applied in different markets. The exact specifications and nominal power of the turbine is determined by site-specific parameters like water depth, occurring velocities and flow directionality (uni/bi).
Afsluitdijk barrage
The first T50 turbine was installed in the Afsluitdijk barrage in summer 2008, and has been fully operational and grid connected since. The first T150 units will be installed in Holland summer 2010, followed by the large T500 turbines, which will be installed in the Pentland Firth summer 2011.
River and Inshore applications
The T50 and T150 are ready for implementation in River and Inshore applications, and can be ordered right now. For more information, please contact our sales team (see below). Also if you see possibilities for application of the T150 and the large T500 feel free to contact us.
Basically, we supply a complete turbine including power conversion unit, effectively being a water to grid solution. Foundation structures are expected to be provided by client; we will supply the foundation requirements. Depending on geographic location, market type (inshore, river, offshore) and project size, we can also deliver turn-key solutions covering complete site development (foundation, consenting, and grid-connection).
